Walk R - Kenilworth & Hatton
WALK DESCRIPTION
The Brays car park at Kenilworth Castle.
A quiet walk through countryside with very little traffic and stile-free.
Two pubs are nearby, the Queen & Castle and the Clarendon Arms, which can be reached by walking to the end of the tiltyard, then down the steps on the right and round edge of Kenilworth Castle walls to Castle Green.
From the Brays car park the walk takes a bridleway track, the latter part of which has a gravel surface. After crossing Rouncil Lane the WW2 Bannerhill Camp is passed. From the path the former Central Hospital can be seen before Turkey Farm is reached.
The return route passes alongside the Inchford Brook and then through Faerie-Tale farm with its Alpacas. after crossing Rouncil Lane once again. Over more fields, with a view of Kenilworth Castle one returns to the Brays car park.
