Walk W - Offchurch & Hunningham
WALK DESCRIPTION
A walk going through the Offchurch Greenway, alongside the river Leam through fields and woodland.
From the Stag at Offchurch pub in Offchurch, and after a short stretch on the road, the walk crosses a couple of fields and then uses a section of the Offchurch Greenway to reach Ridgeway Lane.
Ridgeway Lane leads to the Fosse Way and then on to Hunningham. En route Hill Top Farm & Café is passed after which the route passes through Hunningham Hall Farm Meadow and by Saint Margaret's church then passing alongside the river Leam before reaching The Red Lion pub.
After crossing a packhorse bridge some fields are crossed before entering a spinney and crossing the river Leam. The site of the old Weston Corn Mill is also encountered in the spinney.
From here the footpath passes throug fields on the return to the start, the Stag at Offchurch pub.
PARKING
Permission has been given by the owner or manager for walkers to leave their vehicles in the car park on the understanding that they will patronise the establishment either before or after the walk.
