WALK  DESCRIPTION

Starting point:

The Navigation Inn public house in Kingswood.

The walk and places of interest:

This walk  takes us along  canal towpaths, through meadows and woodland. Towards the end of the walk Baddesley Clinton Manor House is passed.

From The Navigation Inn pub walk a short stretch of the Grand Union canal after which one crosses to the Stratford-upon-Avon canal. Taking the towpath south, two miles later the village of Lowsonford is reached. The local Fleur de Lys pub in Lowsonford is very close to the canal.

The walk continues crossing three transport links, the M40 motorway, the Marylebone - Birmingham rail link and the Grand Union canal before  reaching the church of Saint Lawrence in Rowington.

The final stretch passes through Hay Wood before passing Baddesley Clinton Manor House on the return to The Navigation Inn.
