Chesford Grange was built in 1900 by Birmingham lamp manufacturer Joseph Hinks on land leased from Lord Leigh.
In 1908 it was taken over by Lord Algernon Percy from Guy’s Cliffe. In 1924 Henry Pratt became the owner but after his death in 1938 it was bought by the Hames family, who had been living at the castle gatehouse.
The Hames family turned a part of the house into a hotel & restaurant. Today the hotel, which has been greatly extended over the years, is run by the QHotels Group.
